MiXXX– Open Source DJ App

Every time I perform, friends are entranced by my digital DJ setup… all based around a Macbook and a Torq XPonent DJ controller & duplex sound card. It’s a great setup, but there are lots of less expensive ways to get into digital DJing.
Since I started, I’ve seen Mixxx grow up into a great product that anybody can easily get into for free. What’s more, it supports most of the existing hardware controllers out there, so you could have a great, working DJ rig for $150 or more.
It gives you access to a full suite of standard DJ tools like crossfading, beatmatching, and looping. If you want to check out digital DJing, Mixxx is a great place to start.
